Terms of Service
Last updated 19 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Price Signal. It’s a private beta run by an individual, not a company, so they’re deliberately short and plain. Using the service means you accept them.
What the service does
Price Signal fetches publicly available pricing pages you nominate, uses automated analysis to identify the plans and prices on them, and emails you a weekly summary when something meaningful changes.
This is a beta — read this part
The service is under active development and provided as is. Features may change or disappear, checks may be delayed or missed, and the service may be unavailable at times. There is no uptime guarantee and no support commitment.
We may discontinue Price Signal entirely. If that happens we’ll give you reasonable notice by email so you can export or record anything you need.
Accuracy — the important limitation
Pricing is extracted automatically using AI, from pages we don’t control. It will sometimes be wrong. Known limitations include:
- Pages that build their prices with JavaScript may extract partially or not at all.
- Unusual pricing layouts — grids, matrices, or heavy comparison tables — may produce missing or incorrect prices.
- A real change may be missed, or a change may be reported that isn’t meaningful.
- A page may be temporarily unreachable, so a check silently doesn’t happen.
Treat Price Signal as a prompt to go and look, not as a source of truth. Verify anything on the competitor’s own page before making a pricing, commercial or financial decision. You are responsible for decisions you make, and we are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate, delayed or missing information.
Your account
You need a working email address to sign in. Anyone with access to your inbox can request a sign-in link and reach your account, so keep it secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You must be at least 16 to use Price Signal.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- Add URLs that aren’t publicly accessible pricing pages — including anything behind a login, paywall, or private network.
- Use the service to attack, overload or disrupt another website, or to circumvent any site’s access controls.
- Attempt to break, probe or overload Price Signal itself, or work around usage limits.
- Resell or redistribute the service or its output as your own product.
- Use the service for anything unlawful.
Rate limits apply. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or make it unsafe to operate.
Third-party pages
Content on competitors’ pricing pages belongs to them, not to us and not to you. We only fetch pages that are publicly available, and we only store what’s needed to detect changes. You’re responsible for ensuring your use of that information is lawful where you are.
Cost
Price Signal is free during the private beta, and no payment details are collected. A paid plan is planned but isn’t available yet. We will never start charging you without asking first — you’d have to actively choose to subscribe.
Ending it
You can stop at any time: remove your competitors, or email us to delete your account entirely. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the beta ends. Deleting a competitor also deletes its stored history, and that can’t be undone.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Price Signal is provided without warranties of any kind, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business, or losses arising from inaccurate or missing pricing information. Nothing here limits liability that can’t legally be limited.
Since the service is currently free, any liability we do have is limited to what you’ve paid us — which is nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you use the service from elsewhere, you’re responsible for complying with your own local laws — and this doesn’t remove any consumer rights you have there that can’t be waived by agreement.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that meaningfully affects you, we’ll email you rather than quietly updating this page.
