Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 July 2026
Price Signal watches public pricing pages and emails you when they change. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it. Price Signal is currently a private beta run by an individual, not a company.
What we collect
- Your email address. Provided when you sign in, either directly or from your Google account. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and basic profile information — nothing else, and we never get your Google password.
- The competitor URLs you add, and the pricing information we extract from those public pages.
- Basic account activity, such as when you signed up and last signed in.
We don’t ask for your name, company, phone number, address, or any payment details. There is nothing to pay for during the beta.
How we use it
Your email address is used to sign you in and to send your weekly digest. The competitor URLs are used to fetch and monitor those pages. That’s the whole product.
We don’t sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. We don’t send marketing emails — the only email you’ll receive is the digest you signed up for, plus sign-in links when you request them.
Who else processes your data
Running the service means relying on a few other companies. Each only receives what it needs:
- Supabase — stores your account and your tracked competitors.
- Vercel — hosts the website and processes requests to it.
- Resend — delivers your digest and sign-in emails, and records whether an email was delivered and opened.
- Anthropic — reads the competitor pricing pages we fetch, to work out the plans and prices. Only the public pricing page content is sent — never your email address or account details.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Where your data is held
Price Signal is operated from the United Arab Emirates, but the providers above are based in the United States and store and process data on servers outside the UAE. By using the service you accept that your email address and tracked competitors are transferred and held internationally.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only after you sign in: it keeps you signed in between visits. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no analytics that follow you across other websites — which is why you aren’t asked to accept a cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Your account and tracked competitors are kept until you delete them. Removing a competitor immediately deletes it along with its stored pricing snapshots and change history. Ask us to delete your account and we’ll remove everything associated with it.
Your choices
- Remove any competitor at any time from your dashboard.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account entirely.
- Reply to any digest asking to stop, and we’ll stop sending it. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to correct your data or object to how it’s handled — email us and we’ll honour those.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, and your data is only reachable through server-side code that scopes every query to your own account. Passwords aren’t a risk here because we never create or store any — sign-in works through Google or a single-use emailed link.
No service can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affected your data, we’d tell you directly rather than quietly.
Children
Price Signal isn’t intended for anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects you, we’ll email you rather than silently updating this page.
